If you love the fresh flavors of the Pacific Islands and a little 1950’s flair, then stop in and try our Hula’s Modern Tiki. Hula’s offers a modern take on the classic Tiki bars of the mid-century. The food combines mainland classics with Island flavors in a way that equals a fun culinary experience. There are three locations in the Phoenix metro area, and pets are welcome on their outdoor patios. Try Hula’s for meeting over cocktails for a dog-friendly date, or stop in for a delicious lunch or dinner.

If you’re looking for a casual dining experience and have a love for craft beers then stop into Angel’s Trumpet Alehouse. They serve classic American tavern food and have a selection of beers on tap that is in constant rotation. What could be better after a long day than grabbing your best furry pal and enjoying a few cold ones (they have water for the dogs) and the 3 sausage platter!? Don’t forget to sneak a teeny piece of sausage to your dog. Make it a group event and meet up with your dog and food-loving friends.

Tucked away in the central Phoenix neighborhood of the same name, Windsor offers Prohibition-style cocktails and upscale bar food. Windsor’s website says everyone is welcome and they show it; animal guests are offered a bowl of water once you are seated, and if you have kids in the mix, they offer a kids menu. You and your pet can relax on the patio and enjoy some cheddar fondue while you sip on one of their signature cocktails. This is the perfect place for a dog-friendly date night.

Housed in what was once a drive-through photo-mat, 32 Shea is a trendy cafe and breakfast spot by day and a cocktail lounge and bistro by night. The patio is surrounded by desert flora, and in the warmest months of the year, it is cooled by fans and misters. 32 Shea is proud to be pet-friendly. Dogs are welcome to chill on the patio. They have gone so far as to offer a Saturday Yappy Hour. You and your furry pal can stop in for an espresso on the patio first thing in the morning, and come back that night to enjoy the evening atmosphere.

Stop into this family-owned restaurant when you have a craving for some fresh Mexican food. Located in an 1890s building, the atmosphere is lively and welcoming. They have a landscaped patio where you can enjoy your meal with your pet. Visit Aunt Chilada’s for a relaxed afternoon with your pet, or meet up for a pitcher of frozen margaritas after a hike with friends.

If you enjoy historic charm, health-conscious meals, and neighborhood businesses then make sure you don’t bypass Luci’s. Enjoy sitting on the patio with your dog while you admire the citrus grove. Try one of their power bowls or omelets if you are there for breakfast or lunch; for dinner, try one of their wood-fired pizzas or a grass-fed burger. If you aren’t feeling like a whole meal, then try one of their freshly blended juices or smoothies. Luci’s also offers a marketplace featuring gourmet food, handmade soaps, and a vintage ice cream shop offering homemade gelato. Yum!

For a meal featuring the flavors of the Southwest, head on over to Chelsea’s Kitchen. Complete with a smoke yard, this roadhouse offers casual dining and a roster of classic Southwest dishes. Bring your pet to sit on the patio with you, and order yourself a taco platter and a beer or signature cocktail.

If you want a pastry and a coffee, or a sandwich and a salad, make a visit to Breadcrafters for tasty breakfast and lunch options. This locally owned eatery has been operating since 1992, offering a relaxed atmosphere and quality food. Bring your pet with you to the large patio, and give the Lumberjack Burro a try. Or go light and try the French Toast, don’t forget to slip your fuzzball a strawberry. This is a great stop for a coffee on the way to the dog park or for lunch after a pet playdate.

For a delicious pizza experience, visit the folks at Cibo Urban Pizzeria. Besides their beautiful brick oven pizzas, they also offer pasta, salads, and a wonderful selection of antipasti. And of course, your dog can join you on the patio. Cibo Urban Pizzeria frequently has live music on their patio, which means you can enjoy dinner and a show.

Have you tried all of these restaurants, and you want something new? Phoenix is full of restaurants that welcome pets. If you aren’t sure if a restaurant will allow your pet, just give them a call. If you have a large dog, it is recommended that you call as well, since some restaurants may have a weight limit. Now that you have some ideas, get out there for yourself and see just how pet-friendly Phoenix is!
